About 4 months ago, I did a blog post titled,
"What were we thinking when we did Male Headers on the MSP430 LaunchPad?"
Although it stirred a great deal of conversation, some really neat things have come out in addition to the solutions suggested in the video/blog post.
I wanted to share some of the great alternatives people have come up with.
Ways to Adapt the Male Headers on your MSP430 LaunchPad for Breadboarding

- Using male to female jumper wires
- Using female to female jumper wires
- Adapting male headers to be female headers (using back to back female headers).

Using Jumper's to adaptThis may be my favourite solution. macegr on twitter tweeted me a post using Jumper's as adapters.
I tried them out on my LaunchPad and was pleased.
The best part is that Jumpers can be found anywhere (the LaunchPad has a few on P1.0 and P1.6 that if you aren't using the LED's on board you can disconnect). To Buy Jumpers: DigiKey |
